Who wants to help this project, can do this writing their own tutorials, descriptions or translations. Also ideas or criticisms are welcome.

To make your own tutorials you have some helpful informtions and opportunities. The easiest way is, you write your tutorial and send it to: webmaster(at)besly.de. It is important that this is really an own tutorial, as there could be legal problems to the original authors otherwise.

How to add a icon to a binary

To add a Icon to a binary under Haiku, open the Application menu and start the Icon-O-Matic tool.

Open or drop a picture to the tool and then open the File menu and select Export As

In the Save Image window select as Format for the Icon BeOS:ICON Attribute. Browse through the System and select the binary there you want to add the icon and click on Save.

Icon-o-Matic inform you that this file allready exists, click on Replace because you want to save the icon-data as attribute to the binary


Then the binary have the added icon.
