Changing Your BeOS Shortcut Key by Kevin H. Patterson / 11-15-2001 Supplemental Information Changing the keyboard "shortcut key" that BeOS uses is very simple. People who are used to the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems will probably prefer [Ctrl] as their shortcut key, while those familiar with Apple Macintosh systems will probably prefer [Alt]. First, open the "Menu" Preferences Panel from the Be Menu. ![]() Now, choose the shortcut key of your choice, by clicking on your selection. ![]() That's it. You can close the "Menu" Preferences Panel by clicking the "Close Box" in the upper left-hand corner of the window. You can return to the previous page by clicking the "Back" button in your web browser. |
